As the matinee performance of Roberts Brothers Circus was starting at Roundhouse, Chalk Farm, 28 year old Claude Collins arrived to do a solo performance. The previous night while doing the normal high wire act with his 28 year old wife Francine, she plummeted to the circus ring below and was seriously injured. She was taken to New End Hospital, Hampstead. December 1969

The men collapsed and had to be carried to the door of No. 10 and after handing the petition were given treatment until transport arrived to take them away. The two men have been protesting against the Northern Ireland special powers act. Lying on the pavement outside No. 10, Christopher Maloney who collapsed after handing in a petition. December 1969
