She was the third yacht to carry the name Victoria and Albert, she was built at Pembroke Dock: she was 4,700 tonnes and measured 380 feet in length by 40 feet in the beam. She was used regularly up until the Second World War when it was laid up ands used as an accommodation ship in Portsmouth harbour.
