Sep. 09, 1953 - One Pedal Cycle - With Two Of Everything Else -Almost: There is something q ~ ~ ~ about this ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ - basically an ordinary pedal cycle - owned by Neonard Ernest of East Dulwich. For he has fitted two small motors. One between the pedals, the other over the back wheel. Manipulating a handlebar full of controls, Len was up the hill in no time - but then he ran into some difficulties. The authorities scratched their heads-pondered the legal position. They decided that he must have two road licences, two registration books, two insurance policies, two sets of number plates, and two licence holders on the “machine”. Later they agreed that one conventional license could cover a two-cylinder engine.
