ZUM4896241: Nov. 21, 1953 - British Sculptor completes his bronze statue for ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~.: British Sculptor Bainbridge Copnall has just completed his Bronze statue of the late General U Aung San who was assassinated in 1947. The statue was commissioned by the Burma Government, and Mr. Copwall was assisted in the work by Burmese sculptor San Tei - who besides working on the statue donned a uniform and at times acted as model.
