MPX5162345: Great Western Railways 6100 class steam locomotive no 6106 seen here. at the home of the Great Western Society at Didcot. 6106 was built at Swindon in May 1931, and withdrawn from service at the Oxford depot in 1967. It was purchased in working order by the Society, being sent to the small depot temporarily established by the Society in the old Taplow goods shed until the locomotive was moved to the Society main shed at Didcot in October 1967. 5th February 1969 (b/w photo) / Bridgeman Images
