MPX5139211: The owner of a pigeon loft has been left devastated after a blaze ripped through his allotment. Harry Garbutt has had his Liverton Mines allotment since the 1970s. But he has been left picking up the pieces and assessing the damage at his beloved space, where he once housed 50 pigeons, after a fire tore through it. I just can't believe it, said the 77-year-old. I have spent a lot of time and money on here over the years, and now it is all gone. Luckily Harrys pigeons are currently being housed elsewhere due to his ill health, but his well-kept allotment is now nothing but a pile of rubbish.
