Grenadier guards were to be seen at Wellington Barracks this morning rehearsing for the Queen's Presentation of new Colours to the 1st. and 2nd. Battas, Grenadier Guards, at the Palace on May 7th. The Guards wore khaki this morning, with bearskins to get used to the weight.. ZUM4831999: Apr. 04, 1953 - Twelve-wheeled oil tanker crashes in village street driver killed: A huge twelve-wheeled oil tanker lorry crashed down the main street of Lambourn, Berks, yesterday-ripping into the corner well of the village sweet shop tearing down on empty 14th. Century cottage next door- and into a jeweller's and antique dealers shop-ending up in the gutter and spraying showers of petrol over the road. The accident happened when the drive Reg Bungay lost control of teh vehicle as it tore down the hill to the village..
