ZUM4940499: Aug. 09, 1954 - 9-8-54 He plans to sail round the world - 21-year old Wolfgang Kraker Von Schwarzenfeld, sailed into Newhaven during the weekend on a raft with sails in which he plans to sail round the world. The raft is home-made, a platform lashed to two cyliner-shaped floats. Under the floats are storage tanks holding 110 gallons of fresh water. Wolfgang navigates and sleeps on one float. The other is his galley and storeroom. the sails are his one extravagance, he got the best German sailmaker he could find to make them. He calls his raft the “Sea Arrow”.
