A jeep is wrecked - Troops were landed from assault craft and jeeps were dropped from aircraft during the exercise “” Pegasus Bridge”” on Romney Marsh today. Staff were not dropped owing to the high wind. The parachutes failed to open when one of the jeeps was dropped and it was completely wrecked on failing 1,000 feet. They will spend part of their stay in the homes of their Scout hosts and part of it in camp with their hosts' Troops in various parts of the Country. The German boys, whose ages range from 14-17, arrived at Victoria, and at Imperial Scout Headquarters they were met by their hosts (Except Kentish Scouts who met them at Dover), and taken to their homes or to Scout Camps.
