MPX5120169: Press were invited to Moorefield's Hospital (High Holborn) W.C.1., to the presentation by Lord Derby of an entirely newly developed British Cryo Surgical Unit to the hospital. The unit is used for various delicate operations on the eye with an entirely new technique using temperatures similar to that of outer space and up to 120 degrees centigrade especially for detached retina (VIZ the recent operations on the Duke of Windsor) This new all-British development which already has been ordered in quantity by the U.S, is basically used as a deep-Freeze.
