MPX5159742: Arthur Hutt VC, 1889- 1954, English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was the first person born in Coventry to be awarded the Victoria Cross. He was 28 years old, and a private in the 1/7th Battalion of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment, British Army during the First World War at the battle of Passchendaele when awarded the VC on 4th October 1917.
