Under secretary of State for Air left London Airport this morning for a tour of Royal Air Force unites in the Middle East, m two young cadets flew with him. Chosen From more than 40,000 Air Cadets in the United Kingdom, they will act as assistant air quartermasters in the Heating aircraft. They are, Cadet Harley Brian Hall, 17, of Bexley, Kent, and member of No. 1227 A.T.C. Squadron at Christchurch and Sidcup County Grammer School, who is hoping go tothe R.A.F. College at Cranwell, abnd Cadet Dan Villiers Dalap, 17, of “Clan Connal”. Manorway., Lee-on-Solent, Hants - a member of the Campbell College Combined Cadet Force, Norway Ireland, whose father is a former wing commander in the R.A.F. The 11,000 flight will take the boys over the Mediterranean to Cyprus and then on to Jordan Iraq, Bahrain and Trucial Okman state (Persian Gulf), Aden, Nairobi, Khartoum and the Canal Zone before retuning via Cyprus and Idris (Libya). It will last three week and is regarded as a special regard to the cadets for proficiency,;.
