He created about 2,500 free public libraries in the United States that bear his name, the Carnegie Libraries (the best known is the New York Public Library). The other cubes are drawn by the railways because its company Carnegie Steel, is essentially linked to its ability to produce in large quantities and at low prices railway rails, whose demand was high at that time.
