The Holy Conversation Madonna de Foligno. Sigismondo de Conti, humanist of Foligno, is represented in prayer, kneeling on the right. Saint Jerome, in cardinal's dress, the present has the Blessed Virgin, sitting with the Child in his glory. On the left, Saint John the Baptist, dressed in skins, indicates the Celestial vision before which Saint Francois, protector of the minor brothers (Franciscan), kneels on his knees. Painting by Raffaello Sanzio dit Raphael (1483-1520) 1511-1512 Sun. 320x194 cm Vatican, Pinacoteca - The Madonna of Foligno (Sacred Conversation), by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino a.k.a Raphael (1483-1520) Sigismondo de Conti, humanist of Foligno, is shown kneeling in prayer on the right. St Jerome, in the vestments of a cardinal, presents him to the Virgin, who is seated in glory with the Child. On the left St John the Baptist, dressed in animal skins, indicates the heavenly vision.
