Scenography by Alessandro Sanquirico (1777-1849) for “The Clemence of Tito” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) climbs to La Scala in Milan in 1819 and represents the atrium of the Temple of Jupiter Stator Statore: Sextus is stopped; to preserve Viterlia, he alone endorses the conspiracy in front of the and before Titus who condemn him to death. Taking remorse, Vitellia abandons her dreams of power and confesses her betrayal. Magnanimous, refusing to regain by terror, Titus forgives everything and has all under the ovations of his subjects.
