They left Buckingham Palace at 5 a.m., arriving at Westminster Abbey a little more than half-an hour later. The troops wore battle dress and no bands were used. The state coachand a few troops - to represent the immediate encourage - covered the rest of the route. The object of the rehearsal was to practice the marshalling of the procession
