World War Two German bomber pilot, Heinz Mollenbrok, who was shot down in 1940 during the Battle of Britain. He returned to Britain to pay his respects to gunner Heinrich Richter who was finally buried 56 years after his Luftwaffe Dornier plunged to the ground and blew up in January 1942. Herr Mollenbrok was a prisoner of war (POW) at what is now the Shap Wells Hotel. Pictured age 20, 13/10/1998 (b/w photo)
