Scotland Yard police are investigating the latest robbery of the” Bogus Meter Man” - who posing as a telephone engineer stole jewellery valued at £1,000 from Countess Ramona von Oeynhausen Sierstorpff at her flat in Great Cumberland Street. The 24 year old German Countess says that the man called and asked if he could see where it would be convenient to install a telephone extension - and she was showing him around when she was called away en a few minutes.. The man vanished and so did the jewellery - but he left behind a necklace valued at £4,000..
