MPX5076906: Terry Hagon and a couple of mates went for a cycle ride on Sunday starting 8,000-ft up in the air. Not surprisingly, they found that their journey was downhill all the way. Terry, Michael O'Brien and Robin Mills, members of the Chuting Stars, a group of free-fall parachutists who give displays to raise money for charity, rode out of the back door of a Skyvan aircraft over a military range near Dundee, Scotland. Terry and his bike soon parted company. But both landed safely thanks to parachutes that put the brake on their falls - the bike's parachute was opened by an altimeter-operated release. The bikes of the other two didn't have such happy landings. One plummeted to the ground, the other into the sea. MPX5077130: Dawson's Field Hostages are freed and planes are blown up. The ordeal for many of the hostages, held by Palestinian guerillas after their aircraft were hijacked, ended when they were taken off the planes where they had been held captive at "Revolution Airport" in the Jordan desert. Although fifty-four of the hostages are still being held in secret hide cuts in Amman, the majority of them have returned to their home countries. After the passengers were taken off the aircraft - a British VC-10, an American Boeing 707 and a Swiss DC-8 - the planes were dynamited by the guerillas, The wreckage of the three airliners, blown up by the guerillas in the Jordanian desert.
