The scene which should have been shot in mid winter was being shot in August with a ton of featherlight polystyrene strewn about to represent the snowfall and artificial icicles hanging from ledges and pipes etc. Three young ladies, Penny Allan, Irene French, and Dinny Jones, all singers who are taking part in the film decided to get into bikini's, snowball Harry Secombe and generally frolic in the 'snow'. 3rd August 1967 (b/w photo) / Bridgeman Images
MPX5127107: A Supermarine Spitfire Mk PRXIX and Avro Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Newcastle Airport. Part of the Lancaster crew, to arrive from RAF Coningsby, was RAF master engineer, Derek Butcher, 54, of Jackson Avenue, Ponteland.
