They left Buckingham Palace at 5 am arriving at Westminster Abbey a little more than half an hour later. The troops wore battledre ~ s and no bands were used. The State Coach and a few troops to represent the immediate entourage covered the rest of the route. The object of the rehearsal was to practice the marshaling of the procession
