Jul. 25, 1953 - First exportation of merchandise to Israel-within the frame of the German-Israel commercial treaty. The West German Federal Republic has signed a treaty stating that thin country will deliver to Israel merchandise worth of three billion marks, within the next twelve years. This is the legal restitution to be paid to the young Israel government, by the Federal Republic. The 7,000-ton-trade” Haifa” entered the Bremen Harbor, on 22 July 1953. Since the early morning hours of July 23rd, 1953, laborers are busy to shop the first goods to sent to Israel. Government representatives and members of the Israel government attended a ceremony held in commemoration of this day. Keystone Photo Shows: The trader” Haifa” seen in the Bremen Harbor.

The trial of Nikolas Ploumbidis head of the Greek Communist underground organization, who was arrested in Athens a few months ago - during a spy-ring round-up.. The location of a Communist transmitter was pin-pointed with the aid of a U.S. helicopter - visiting the country. When Communist leaders fled behind the iron-curtain in 1946 - Nikolas Ploumbidis stayed - and although suffering from Tuberculosis - lived under assumed names at twelve different addresses in Greece. Soon after his arrest - he was disowned by Greek Communist Party leaders living behind the Iron Curtain - in a broadcast from Moscow - which claimed that he was a” stool-pigeon on the payroll of the Nonace-Waseist police”

Daphne told televiewers out the” Price Ring” operated among builders to inflate prices. She was appearing in the first program” About the Home” which the B.B.C. consulted the Royal Institute of British Architects who said that local builders agree on an inflated price... But today a contract is being signed by a company which operates over a wide free for the building of the house Under 2,500
