That's a problem being faced by many British parents now that mechanical toys are appearing on the market again - for the first time in six years. British kids of six, or under, have never known what it is to have a regular, brand- new toy, and you can never be quite sure how they'll take to innovations! Here you see one youngster's typical reaction. The mechanical dog is "Wakouwa", who can obey all commands just as soon as asked. MPX5080061: 58 year old Charlie Roberts of Eastbourne, Sussex is proud of his pumpkin growing prowess. He challenges any amateur gardener to better his record of over 500lbs weight of pumpkins grown from 6 plants. He was helped to grow this weight by a freak second crop, the first normal crop of 11 pumpkins from his 6 plants weighted in at 400lbs. When he returned from a fortnight's holiday, the second crop had started growing due to the Indian summer.
