MPX5160276: Shipyard director George Parker rose to the occasion when the new liner Queen Elizabeth II seemed reluctant to be launched. He gave her a shove and a second later the Cunarder slid down the stocks from John Brown's ship yard into the River Clyde. It was a symbolic gesture, and brought a hilarious ending to the few seconds during which the new QE2 seemed reluctant to move. For Charles is an assistant at the unique roof garden on Derry and Toms in Kensington High Street, London. Strong cross winds can sometimes be a problem with a job like this, but the sheer drop seven floors down does not worry Charles at all. The gardens, 1 3/4acres in extent, are very popular with tourists and residents, as well as shoppers.
