EVB2938335: Harriet Quimby 1875-1912 in the Moisant monoplane in which she learned to fly. In 1911 she became the first woman to gain a pilot's license in the United States and was the first woman to fly across the English Channel April 16 1912. She died in a flying accident in July 1912.
