June Agnes Itose was leaving the railway station in Hiroshima when the bomb fell on August 8, 1945. She spent several weeks in hospital recovering from atomic disease. On Saturday she will wear white to marry 28 year old Allan Kline in the Baptist Chapel at Blockley, near Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Gloucester. From the war office last night came a report that a” Strange object” seen passing over Kent on November 3 was, in fact, tracked by an army reader set in South-east London. This was the first time that an official report has been made in this country about objects that have been and reported first by flying officers T.S. Johnson and C. Scythe, who were at 20,000 ft. in a Vampire jet on that day. When they reported this at west Malling air station, investigations were started. It was found that the war office had received a report a reader on this object from a Territorial Arny unit testing a reader set an El them - road, lee green, photo shows Mr. A.J. Jeffrey (technical strongman (right), and SCT. H. Waller, r.a. (left), a radar instructor, two of the radar team who spotted” The thing” seen discussing their experiences this morning.
