Male African Elephant 'Kiberenge' and female African Elephant 'Hango' greet each other by knotting trunks at London Zoo in October 1927. 'Kiberenge' had been  presented to London Zoo by H.E. Sir Horace Byatt on 14th September 1923. He had been born in February 1922 and died on the 6th May 1928. 'Hango' was presented to the Zoo on 19th May 1925, by H.M. King George V having been presented to the King by the Tanganyika Government. 'Hango' was moved to Whipsnade on 27th April 1939 and died there on the 3rd January 1940.
