MPX5126583: Any calls for me.....I'm lost! The giant St Bernard takes a look at the office staff at The Battersea Dogs Home as if to enquire if anybody has called for him. He's so big to get lost. He is a rare type of dog to be found wandering the streets of London without a collar. About one year old he is an extremely fit and well bred animal. He was taken into care a few day ago after he had been seen in the streets of West London. MPX5126837: A large crowd of housewives and children gathered outside the Standard Cinema Buildings in Tile Hill Lane, Coventry, today, to catch a glimpse of the Bachelors who were opening a new ladies' hair stylist salon. The salon called Eileen's is the first shop to be opened in the development, which has involved rebuilding the cinema. The three Bachelors arrived late after a breakdown on their journey from Birmingham, to be greeted by Mrs. Eileen Kelly, who is starting the salon with her husband. The trio cut a pink tape and unlocked the door after a stormy passage through the crowd of autograph hunters. The salon is equipped with the latest push-button driers and can accommodate about 12 customers at one time. 6th February 1967 (b/w photo) / Bridgeman Images
