The contest goes back to Armada days when two village swains competed for the hand of a maiden in a game of marbles. Apr. 04, 1953 - Seven German Children Back from Czechoslovakia! After separation from more than 6 years, seven German children were reunited with their parents on Wednesday, April 15th by the regular train Prague-Schirnding-Paris. At the frontier check and control point Schirnding these little kids were welcome by personal of the Red Cross and the over happy parents. When German Citizen were expelled from Czechoslovakia after unconditional surrender all kids were forced to remain with their relatives in Czechoslovakia. The Czech authorities finally accepted the numerous applications of the parents for the return of their children. Leading officials of the Red Cross hope that transports with returning German children from Czechoslovakia will never more stopped. Our Picture Shows: Maria Fuchs, 11 years, who lost an eye and one arm in connection with an air raid. She is being taken care by an Red Cross sister, who is going to bring her to her parents, residence of Neustadt and der Waldnaab, Bavaria, Southern Germany.
