ZUM4900884: Dec. 12, 1953 - AMERICAN EXPERT ADVISES ON AFRICAN POWER PROJECT. Dr. Arthur Morgan, U.S. authority on hydro-electric projects responsible for the T.V.A., has been asked by the Government of the Gold Coast, the British African Colony that is moving rapidly toward self-government, to assist in the country's Volta river Project. the scheme calls for construction of a power station with a 2,000-sq, mile reservoir. Its capacity of 564,000 kilowatts will be used chiefly for the production of aluminum.
