Marines who have been building an awning to make a garden play area for the 'no-sunshine' boy Mark Diment at his new Chaneellor Grove West Norwood home, today handed over the completed shelter to the Diment family. As surprise extra presents, there was a car for Mark, a teddy bear for his 2 year old sister Michelle, and a swing them both. Mark Diment tries out his new swing with the help of the Marines. Even though she was on an indoor slope, Miss Maureen Beech came a purler when she tried her luck on a huge indoor ski slope at a holiday and travel exhibition in Brighton. She really let the British side down for there to see her spectacular tumble were a band of Austrian folk dancers in town for the exhibition. Because as well as performing their Tyrol Whirls they are all expert skiers too. December 1969
