Part of the history of Guisborough is being given new life. The old-fashioned cobbles, are being re-laid only a short distance from the towns market cross. Work was recently done by Langbaurgh Borough Council to raise a section of footpath near the town hall, with the sim of preventing vehicular access to Bakehouse Square, where there are now some new shops. Pictured working on the area between the town hall and the Seven Stars public house are Mr Kim Fredlich-Tinkler (left) and Mr Mike Willett. 7th February 1979 (b/w photo)
