MPX5086701: Mr. Tom Shaw has a riding school at Royal Crescent Lane, Scarborough, Yorkshire. The pupils in his early morning class are mostly tiny tots like three-years-old Robert Purse. Mr. Shaw doesn't ride a horse when out with the children as he is afraid a small tap from his large mount would knock the children from their smaller horses. So Mr. Shaw keeps up a gently pace on his bicycle. He also takes his two Yorkshire terriers in the carrier box for an outing. August 1953 / Bridgeman Images
