ZUM4842197: May 05, 1953 - Hanomag builds air-port tractors for Netherlands:” Hanomag” succeeded as the first firm in the world to construct a tractor for air-ports making no jerks. Many tractors could not be used on air-ports as they all did not master this problem that great planes must be dragged without any jerks. The front-wheels of great planes are really excellent springs but they are very easily damaged by drawing and pressure. The Royal Dutch Air Lines (KLM) ordered these tractors with the” Hanomag”. The tractor has a power of 55HP and is working with a hydraulic voice-turbo clutch enabling the driving on without jerks.
