MPX5138774: Its a dog life for this Birmingham vet. He is stationed in a mobile hut on land in Grovesnor Road, Aston, until the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals can afford new premises. The problem is, nobody knows his surgery is there. The mobile hut was put up after the P.D.S.A surgery in Lichfield Road closed. The old surgery treated 10,000 animals a year, but this vet, who does not charge for his services and has to remain anonymous for professional reasons, is left twiddling his thumbs. 21st March 1979 (b/w photo) / Bridgeman Images
