MPX5120884: Four nuns from the St. Joseph School for Mentally Handicapped Boys, at Broome Court, Severn Stoke, Worcester have formed a group to entertain the boys. But last Monday (St. Patrick's Day) they appeared in public for charity in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, and were a huge success. They were recorded by Radio Stoke, singing "Yellow Bird" and "The Carnival is Over". Seen here back at Broome Court, the ancestral home of the Earl of Coventry, entertaining some of the 140 residential boys. Their repertoire includes "Lily the Pink", "Those were the Days", "Scarlet Ribbons" etc.., their voices blend well together and the sound terrific! March 1969 (b/w photo) / Bridgeman Images
