MPX5072758: John Dankworth, master of jazz swung into Coventry yesterday for a lightning visit to the cathedral. The m usician, conductor and composer was finalising details of a special jazz concert in September to mark the cathedral's silver jubilee year. He has been asked to write an original composition to celebrate the anniversary of the cathedral. The 20-minute piece called "Reconciliation" will be performed by an ensemble of 84 musicians as the highlight to the evening of jazz. 26th June 1987 / Bridgeman Images
MPX5071460: Stewart Henry the disc jockey broadcasting from a studio at the BBC this afternoon on his 4pm show, told listeners he was naked. The reason was that on Saturday on Scottish BBC 1 television, he was interviewing witches at a meeting and had to strip to join the circle.
