MPX5099325: Go Slow' Plane in Death Plunge. A French plane crashed in a ball of fire on Friday 20th September. 68 while giving a one-engine flying display at the Farnborough, Hants, air show. Five crew and a ground staff fitter were killed. The 43 ton plane, a twin-engined Breguet Atlantic used for marine reconnaissance, was making a tight turn at about 140mph while 150 feet to 200 feet above the runway, September 1968 / Bridgeman Images

MPX5099420: Canadian Pacific immigrant ship Beaverbrae formerly the Hapag's Huascaran which was taken over by the German Navy during the second world war and used as a u-boat repair ship in Norway. Captured in 1945 and handed over to Canadian Government, the ship was sold to Canadian Pacific in 1947. Refitted and renamed Beaverbrae and used as an emigrant carrier on the St. John - Bremerhaven/Bremen route.
