PCT4975868: Lying genre low relief representing Simon de Montfort (Simon IV the Fort, Count of Montfort, did about 1150 - died 1218, chief of the Armee des Croises against the Albigeois = Cathars). This burial slab preserved at the Basilica of Saint Nazaire (Saint Nazaire) in Carcassonne was long presented as the tombstone of the cross chief, killed by a catapult during the siege of Toulouse in 1218.
