MPX5069686: Variety Club's Christmas Gift Luncheon: After the Variety Club's Christmas lunch in London today, Christmas trees and hundreds of toys were taken to four hospitals and two orphanages. Receiving the toys and gifts were several stars dress in Father Christmas outfits. Ronnie Corbett was put into the toy sack by the Savoy Dancing Girls dressed as Miss Christmas's, and hoisted on the back of Harry Secombe who was dressed as Father Christmas. Rudolf Nureyev is the guest artist in the company's performance in George Balanchine's "Apollon Musagete" where he interprets the part of Apollon (God Apollo) opposite the leading ballerinas Olga De Haas (Muse of Dance) Sonja Marchiolli (Muse of Drama) and Helene Pex (Muse of Musec) rehearsing them is John Taras the Director of the Paris Opera Ballet and stages Apollon for the Dutch National Ballet specially for the London performance.
