Winner of this year's Horse Trotting Exhibition along the Highway, Stepney, was 10 year old gelding, High Road Pride driven by greengrocer, Wally Hart of Stepney. Three horses took part in the exhibition for charity. The proceeds to go to helping make a happy Christmas for the Old Age Pensioners of the Derby and Joan Club in Deancross Street, E.1. The winner in the Three Swedish Crowns Pub after the exhibition with the owner and Billy Walker there to see fair play. December 1969

David will be amongst over prominent people who will line up on the starting grid in the personalities race at the John Player Grand Prix. Today David went to the BrandÍs Hatch circuit for practice and to get the feel of the car. After about ten laps he commented he was happier in an aeroplane. July 1974

Part of the Coldstream Guards Band went to the children's ward at St. Thomas's London, and played their band music to the kiddies. The soldiers played Christmas Carols and happy marches. Some of the children even played some of the musical instruments. The nurses, children and soldiers joined in musical chairs. Then they all had tea, and the Tots Tattoo drew to a close. Leading the musical chairs is Hamid Shobali from Saudi Arabia who is being treated for deformity of the feet. The treatment is in the form of progress correction. December 1969
