TEC4605810: Le Bel Costume, epoxy sculpture painted with polyurethane by Jean Dubuffet. It is located in the Jardins des Tuileries in Paris, commissioned by the French State for the installation of 20th century sculptures in the Jardins des Tuileries in December 1998. Originally, this 4-metre-high sculpture was designed to form part of a monumental group designed to populate the entrance hall of a wing of the National Gallery in Washington, for which Dubuffet had designed several projects. The model of the “Bel Costume” dates back to 1973. Photography 10/09/08., Dubuffet, Jean (1901-85) / Bridgeman Images
