Needham, who founded the club 26 years ago are having exciting manoeuvres on the 18 inch deep "briny". 11 years old Brian Elliott has been appointed this years "Admiral." The duck pond fleet sets of Newbold, near Chesterfield is out on manoeuvres, but the flag-ship - a raft on empty oil drums - has to heave-to for a moment while a goose convoy paddles past. Sailors of the "Fleet" are all children of Newbold, members of a sailing club started twenty five years ago by Mr. T. Needham. The "Fleet" boasts a new "Admiral" every year Brian Elliot, 11 holds the rank this year.
