Biography
Diana Schofield was born in London in 1929. She spent the war years in Scotland, where she first began painting and drawing plants, birds and landscapes. Returning to London she studied painting at the Byam Shaw School of Art where she was taught by the late Peter Greenham, a landscape painter. She learnt a lot from him about painterly qualities, the dissolution of form in light and the loss of edges. She now divides her time between a studio in London and a village house on a Greek island, and travels widely. She exhibits at Duncan R Miller Fine Art, London.
