Elizabeth Rice was born in Canterbury, Kent and received her art education at Execter School of Art and Design. She trained in wallpaper design with Arthur Sanderson and Sons in the late 1960s. She is a freelance botanical illustrator and painter of heraldic designs. She has exhibited in many group exhibitions in London and been commissioned by the Sultan of Oman and the Medici Society as well as numerous other private commissions.
