Alison Cooper studied at Newport College of Art and Florence University. A love of gardening and plants in general led her to take up painting full time after her children went to school. She has since exhibited at the Royal Horticultural Society and won many medals. Alison has also exhibited widely throughout Britain, including at the Tryon and Swann Gallery, Malcolm Innes’ Gallery, the SBA and at Kew in London, and at other exhibitions in Birmingham with the RBSA and at the Botanical Gardens. Much of Alison’s work is prompted by private commissions.
Having moved to Monmouthshire in 2003, she has been moved slightly away from Botanical works and been painting farm animals , fish and even regimental caps and badges.
