Edith Handler studied in Vienna concentrating on graphic layout and typography at the Berlin Academy in order to become a commercial artist. From 1940 to 1948 she worked in New York for the magazines Esquire and Conde Nast and freelanced for the card company, Hallmark and for various magazines. In 1948 she moved to Geneva. In 1986 she began working again – producing art for UNICEF and some US Christmas card houses.
