After undertaking his artistic studies at the Harrow and Hornsey College of Art in London, Phil Greenwood shortly became a teacher in printmaking until 1971, when he decided to be a full time artist and print-maker. Since then, he has been working and living in Kent, while exhibiting his work both in England and abroad. Although, Phil Greenwood’s beautiful landscapes illustrate a vast range of tones, he only uses two or three main colors throughout the process, making his etchings highly unique. While, his landscapes may feel commonly familiar, Phil Greenwood, isn’t interested in portraying specific locations, but instead on depicting landscapes which he recalls from his memory. Phil Greenwood’s works can be found in distinct private and public collections, as well as museums and galleries worldwide.
