Biography
Mostly self-taught painter founded the Gutai group in 1954, wrote the manifesto that defined it, and continued to support its activities during his lifetime. Though members of Gutai Bijutsu Kyōkai (Concrete Art Association) were involved in actions and performance, Yoshihara remained exclusively an abstract painter.
