Biography
Pieter Brueghel the Younger (b. 1564 d.1638) was a Flemish artist known for his paintings of rustic or religious scenes. Brueghel first studied under his grandmother, the miniaturist Maria Verhulst. He often copied his fathers peasant scenes depicting multiple narratives happening instantaneously. He spent his career in Antwerp and was admired by his peers Anthony van Dyck and Peter Paul Rubens.
